How do you make a master’s thesis sound interesting?
You get AI to turn it into a podcast, of course!
Our dear leader, Dan, showed me the capabilities of Google’s Notebook LM this week, and the Deep Dive feature is programmed to take an avalanche of text content and turn it into an organized, engaged one-on-one conversation (ideally, not to exceed 15 minutes). I immediately proceeded to plug in my Master’s thesis on using critical media literacy in the classroom. It was epic–I was brought back to specific interviews I conducted over 12 years ago. I won’t bore you with the outcome, but 10/10 Highly Recommend if you’ve ever wondered what it sounded like if someone enthusiastically read through your own personal turgid pedantry.
What I decided to share this week with LM was a synthesis of some of our key documents:
-Our Mission, Vision, and Values Statement
-Our business plan (obviously somewhat redacted, but we aim for as much transparency as possible!)
-Dan’s first blog post, in which he reveals what inspired the foundation of our company.
I promise you will totally ooh-and-aah at the beep-boop-podcast, which I’ve alternately titled: “How Uncanny is My Valley?” But in order for me to feel like this post really contains original content, I have decided to add timestamped comments, basically as an homage to my favorite beep-boop-peanut gallery.
This helps me fulfill one of my wildest dreams: play-by-play comic critique with robots (or at least at their expense). Notice the audio widget at the bottom of the page. Now, you can riff along with me!
00:03 I instructed the studio tool to pronounce AlignIQ (the way most humans would), but instead it prefers to rhyme with “Enigma View.”
00:30 Oof, Dan, I think they’re implying that your metaphor is stale. Burn! 🔥
01:43 Tell me more! 🤗
02:58 We don’t have those quite yet–in the works!
04:27 Hey! Who’s asking the questions here? 🤔
04:38 You two are definitely all sunshine and roses.
07:34 Thanks for the promotion, guys–we’ll look into referral bonuses.
07:39 So glad we’re writing a script into your LLM, guys. We know. We’re game changers.
08:18 Oh, it’s not over yet? 🤔
10:18 We are standing on the precipice of greatness! ⛰️
10:27 You don’t have a key, nor a hand to hold it with. 🦾
10:38 I feel like I’ve heard this before. Also, I really dig their new pronunciation of AI.

11:00 You are officially fired from our marketing team. 🔥
11:25 Surprise, surprise… the robot wants to create a robot future.
Until next deep dive!
[In this post, we used AI for polish, not purpose.]
If you’d like to explore the ideas behind this experiment, you can start with our Mission, Vision, and Values to see how AlignIQ defines purpose-driven AI work. For a deeper look into the practical side of that mission, visit our AI Upskilling Programs, where we help nonprofits and small businesses build confidence using ethical AI tools.
Curious about where this all began? Dan’s Founding Post shares the story that shaped our approach to technology and impact.
