AI Leadership Calibration
Calibrate what AI changes for your role, your team, and your next 90 days. Designed for executive directors, operations leads, programme directors, founders, and team leaders who hold the line on quality, judgment, and trust.
You already have a compass. We help you use it in new terrain.
This is about calibration, not deficiency. Good leaders recalibrate when the operating environment changes.
What this is, and what it isn’t
What this is
- A focused calibration for leaders responsible for team-level AI decisions
- A clear orientation on decision rights, review gates, and accountability
- A 90-day operating plan you and your team can understand and execute
- Practical communication prompts for staff, board, and leadership conversations
- Five leadership-use test cards you can run yourself
What this isn’t
- Individual “how to use ChatGPT” training
- Executive coaching
- A multi-week leadership course
- Generic AI literacy training
- Remedial help, or a competency assessment
Questions it helps you answer
The kind of questions a responsible leader is already asking, even if they haven’t named them out loud yet.
- What does AI change about my role?
- What should I model for my team?
- What should I delegate, and what shouldn’t I?
- What needs human review, and at what stage?
- What should I restrict, slow down, or escalate?
- What should I communicate to staff, board, or leadership in the next 30, 60, and 90 days?
- What risks or tensions do I need to name clearly?
- What decisions should not sit only with individual staff?
- Where do I need decision rights, review gates, or shared norms?

What we calibrate against
A short structured set of dimensions that frame the conversation. The output is a brief on where your role and your team sit today, and what to focus on next. We don’t grade or score; we map and recommend.
Personal AI literacy and judgment
What you need to be able to recognise and decide, not what you need to be able to operate.
Decision rights and accountability
Which AI-related calls sit with you, which sit with staff, and which sit with the board.
Team norms and communication
What’s shared, what’s expected, and what gets said out loud.
Workflow review and quality control
Where review gates sit, who signs off, and what counts as “good enough.”
Data sensitivity and risk boundaries
What data is safe to use with which tools, and what gets escalated.
Staff capability and support
Where the team has skill, where it has gaps, and what’s worth investing in next.
Workflow readiness
Whether the team is ready for simple AI workflows, more advanced patterns, or both at once.
Accountability for high-stakes outputs
How AI-assisted outputs are reviewed, signed off, and explained when something goes wrong.
Rollout cadence and follow-through
What gets done in 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, and how you track it.
How it works
Most AI Leadership Calibration engagements take 1 to 2 weeks from intake to delivered brief. You receive the brief and test cards within 5 business days after the working session.
Confidentiality and boundaries
We use public information and client-approved, non-sensitive materials. We do not ask you to share confidential, privileged, client-identifiable, donor-identifiable, HR, or safeguarding-sensitive data. If sensitive material is relevant to your situation, we design around it using redacted examples, categories, or process descriptions.
Sensitive, confidential, privileged, or client-identifiable information should not be entered into public AI tools. AlignIQ does not provide legal advice. AI Leadership Calibration is not a security audit, vendor contract review, or compliance certification.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a leadership course or executive coaching?
No. It’s a focused calibration for a leader who’s already responsible for team AI decisions and wants a clearer operating model. It’s not a development programme, not a coaching engagement, not a competency assessment.
What if I don’t think of myself as “an AI person”?
Most of our buyers don’t. The calibration is about decision-making, communication, and operating model, not about your personal command of any tool. The deliverables make you look more competent, proactive, and responsible, not less.
Should I do this before or after wAI-Finder?
Either works. Some leaders run AI Leadership Calibration first to clarify their own posture before commissioning a team-level scan. Others run wAI-Finder first and then a Calibration to figure out what the leader-level work looks like.
Will I look behind for booking this?
Most leaders we work with come to us looking ahead, not behind. The calibration is forward-looking by design: a 90-day operating plan, communication prompts you can use in your next leadership meeting, and a brief you can share with your board or your senior team.
Is this only for nonprofit leaders?
No. We work with leaders in nonprofits, foundations, B Corps, social-impact consultancies, and mission-driven teams inside larger purpose-led companies. The calibration is the same; the language flexes to your sector.
Can my whole leadership team do this together?
Yes, with a slightly different scope. Tell us how many people are in scope and we’ll size the engagement accordingly.
